Meanwhile, approximately one thousand energy customers in Victoria also encountered electricity disruptions after the capital city saw its wettest day in over 500 days.
State Emergency Services responded to over five hundred emergency reports across the area, primarily for property damage but also for collapsed vegetation and inundation.

At one point on Sunday, over 28k electricity consumers in Victoria were without power.
Weather Forecast
Damp conditions were forecast to persist along large portions of the state's eastern regions this coming days as a weather pattern continued to pull in damp air against the shoreline.
Tuesday was expected to become the heaviest precipitation period, with persistent thunderstorm potential predicted across various areas of both states.
Health Warning
Public health experts warned that there was an greater possibility of thunderstorm-induced asthma across the northern rural areas, especially given the current weather patterns.
