AC Shadows Introduces Bizarre AoT Collaboration for Thanksgiving
In a bizarre collaboration that challenges conventional expectations, Ubisoft has unveiled an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Adventure Revealed
According to the authorized release, "A mysterious confrontation draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where hints of prohibited rituals and monstrous changes resonate through the obscurity." The narrative features a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a clandestine cult.
The adventure concentrates on "peculiar trials and a terrifying adversary" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Transformations
The teaser showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser ends with a dramatic sequence showing a character, probably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Prizes and Additional Material
Players who finish the quest will receive an unique katana together with several objects concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
- Titan-based outfit for Yasuke
- Mikasa costume for Naoe

Newest Free Story Update
This update also adds the game's latest no-cost story addition, titled "The Mystery." This playful quest pairs Naoe and Yasuke as they swap signature techniques: Naoe debuts a dramatic interpretation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke masters non-lethal stealth takedowns. True to its name, "The Mystery" also contains a fresh environmental puzzle that may finally explain some unresolved questions from the main storyline.

The series previously included a 2020 crossover story uniting Assassin's Creed: Valhalla with Makoto Yukimura's Vinland Saga.
